Essa young is a straight, studious young woman entering university. Her new roommate is an unruly rebel who keeps on partying and encourages the respectful Tessa to relax a little. One day, she introduces him to the mysterious Hardin Scott with whom she shares a love of literature. Soon, despite their obvious differences, Tessa and Hardin will fall madly in love with each other. The latter will lead her to question who she wants to be in life and take charge of her destiny.
