  • Although there was a skratchy and bleak colorversion before, this one is restaurated from the original tricolor version, and slighty different. Mikhayl Tsekhanovsy and Dmitry Shostakovich ad the time had to make public excuses and amends for their 1936-1938 project the workman Balda and his pope, a monument of avantgarde art. Remember this was the time of the great purge.
