  • This is the OTHER "Satyricon" from 1969, directed by Gian Luigi Polidoro. When Fellini had announced his new project, it was quickly produced as a pre-emptive rip-off. It was then bought by United Artists to keep it off the market, and to release it later as "The Degenerates". In 1994 the film was submitted again for censor approval and further cuts were made. It was then released on VHS and shown on Italian TV. A low quality version exists that shows a few of the missing scenes. Fan made subs.
