  • Between 1989 and 2004 the Welsh channel S4C commisioned animation to Russian studio's later also expanding to other, often east european, studio's After a pilot in 1989 at Soyuzmultfilm, Christmas 1989, a joint venture, was started called Christmas films, at first with the Soyuzmultfilm studios as base, who realised most of the commisioned work. The relationship with Christmasfilm was ended around 2002, but with other Russian studio's it was continued.
