Un zorro construyó una casa de hielo mientras que una liebre construyó su propia casa de madera. Cuando llega la primavera, la casa del zorro se derrite al sol. Celosa, arroja al conejo fuera de su casa y se instala en su casa. Triste e indefenso, el conejo llora en el bosque. Se encuentra sucesivamente con un lobo, un oso y un toro que, a su vez, intentan ayudarlo pero vuelven con las manos vacías. Solo el gallo, ayudado por el conejo, logra desalojar al zorro.

A fox built an ice house while a hare built his own wooden house. When spring comes, the house of the fox melts in the sun. Jealous, she throws the rabbit out of his house and settles in his house. Sad and helpless, the rabbit goes crying in the forest. He meets successively a wolf, a bear and a bull who each in their turn, try to help him but come back empty-handed. Only the rooster, helped by the rabbit manages to dislodge the fox.
