  • About the boy Ivan, who has no one except his grandfather. Grandfather gave it to study to the shoemaker where he had oh how not sweet : and laugh at him, and herring in the "snout" poke and beat. And on Christmas night, he did not even go to bed, he wrote a letter asking him to take it, or else he could not stand it and die. And in the morning he took the letter to the mailbox, and on the envelope wrote : "To the village of my grandfather...".
